Brass, copper and bronze

Dust with a soft dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a gentle metal-safe cloth and test first on a hidden area. Avoid abrasive pads, bleach and acidic cleaners.

Clay and ceramic finishes

Wipe with a soft slightly damp cloth, then dry immediately. Avoid soaking handmade clay pieces.

Bathrooms and humid spaces

Keep metal surfaces dry after use where possible. Natural patina can develop over time and is part of the material life of handmade brass and copper.

What to avoid

Avoid harsh descaling products, abrasive sponges and leaving water sitting on metal surfaces for long periods.
